Karelia Tobacco Company introduced this version to World Duty Free shops in Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester a few months later, after their first appearance. “The sales of these cigarettes surpassed our highest expectations. Nowadays we plan to increase distribution of Ome in other countries and stores,” said Karelia’s U.K. manager, Robin Page.
Since it was first launched in May 2009, the Ome cigarettes brand has been launched in more than 12 international duty free and domestic cigarette markets in Western and Eastern Europe, Middle East, France, and not so long ago in the Benelux countries. “This year our customers will be able to see the new advertisement units made to support the brand’s image building in duty free and other travel stores. The given units will underline the main characteristics of the brand,” Mr. Page said.
