Hilary Duff, a famous former Disney Channel star and at present a popular actress and singer who gave birth to her child in March this year, states that she has “got tired ” with  a recent paparazzi picture that depicts her holding a lit cigarette, stating that it was of a friend.

The photo was taken outside a café in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles a few days ago and placed on various websites. Duff’s son, Luca wasn’t with her in that moment. “Yes, me holding a cigarette for my friend probably has been a bad idea. I am really got tired with all those comments about the picture. Sorry, that it seems worst than it is in fact!” Hilary wrote on her Twitter. Online comments to the picture have been quite mixed. For instance an MTV article titled “Please don’t smoke, Hilary!” stated: “Please Hillary Stop! We care about you and love you. You have just created a perfect and really great family, so you do not have to add any cigarettes into your new life.”

The 24-years old actress said in April that she was breastfeeding her son. It is not known precisely if she is a smoker, but even if she is, her breast milk seems to be safe for little boy, according to a representative for the Center For Disease Control and Prevention. “All mothers who smoke are encouraged to stop doing it. However, breast milk remains the best food for a baby, even if the mother lights up. Despite the fact that nicotine may be present in breast milk, any adverse effects on the child during breastfeeding period have not been presented,” declared a government representative.

HilaryDuff is also currently facing a legal problem. A Los Angeles woman started a legal proceeding against her, declaring that in December 2010, the actress hit her car and caused her some injuries. Hilary didn’t want to comment on this issue. Duff who became popular due to a role in the Disney Channel series “Lizzie Maguire” also had some roles in the CW series “Gossip Girl”.
Moreover at present the actress is the best-selling author. Her recent novel “Devoted” has a great success.
