There are written lots of articles dedicated to smoking and its detrimental effect. Unfortunately, not everyone profoundly pertains to them and considers it as another attempt to put off smokers’ desire to smoke. And people of name are not an exception. Regardless the fact that the majority of them hold campaigns against smoking, still many of them prefer to disregard all the messages that sound like “smoking interferes with your health” or “smoking kills”.

There are celebrities, while being interviewed, speak about healthy lifestyle, methods of keeping in fit state, and by themselves smoke in secret. It is insincere towards people who believe their every single word, who esteem their art and tend to take after them.

Hollywood is the place where you can meet all the stars, starting with movie ones up to variety performer. Each of them has his/her own shortcomings; still there are more representatives of the star world whose pernicious habit is smoking.

One of the Hollywood chain smokers turned to be Kate Moss. The world-wide model smokes out a pack per day and this is in spite of the fact that she carries anti-nicotine plaster. Collin Farrell virtually never puts apart his cigarette. There is none picture with him without this smoking product.

The genuine American hang out movie and performer stars, without who none of social routs is held, Kirsten Dunst and Lindsay Lohan do not part with Marlboro tobacco being even in the rehabilitation clinic. It is inconceivable. Their addiction to smoking is greater than their will.

One more example, proving the careless attention to health, represents the main character of the “Dirty Dances” movie, Patrick Swayze. Having serious illness (pancreatic cancer), he continues smoking numerously regardless the medical prohibitions.

Gillian Anderson, the star of the “Secret Materials”, started smoking at 14. During many years she either quits smoking or starts it again. As she says about herself: “I don’t know why it happens, but I perfectly know that I am dying without cigarettes”.

The graphic example of contradicting person is pop-star, Britney Spears. In 2001 the idol of teenagers declared that she abhors people who smoke. Today she is in the list of those celebrities who do not already hide cigarette. Moreover she became the current ad of Marlboro Lights.

But there are famous people who do not recognize their vicious habits. Among them stands the partner of Antonio Banderas in “Mask of Zorro” Catherine Zeta Jones. Being 6th month pregnant, she was photographed by paparazzi, standing in balcony of her mansion, pleasing with smoking process. The mass media made a stunning scandal, but even then the actress kept silence.

So we have showed that smoking captivated the whole world and daily the number of smokers increases with great speed.
